Being Choosy Is Worth It
Most women have learned the hard way that not being more selective about who they get involved with ends up hurting them. Sometimes, it even ends up costing them money. When you’ve made some not-so-wise choices in the past, don’t let the pain of those experiences hinder you from getting involved again. Just don’t give so much of yourself when next you meet someone who takes your fancy. Being choosy is worth it. Make him demonstrate that he truly does want you to be his most important relationship before you open to him.
Committing to The Journey
When you’ve been burned enough times and you truly want to meet a permanent partner, you’ll reach an important turning point within you. You’ll no longer be prepared to try to win a man’s love. Instead, you’ll stand steady and refuse to budge until you find someone who genuinely loves and respects you. Not someone who gives you only just enough to get you to fall into his arms whenever he wants but gives you nothing in return. Not someone who uses you and then tosses you away when he’s finished.
When you have got to this point in your journey, you’re finally ready for real and true love. Then it is time to read up on what a twin flame relationship is. You need to prepare yourself for when you meet the one who is right for you.
It’s Going to Be Difficult
Expect this type of relationship to be difficult. Very difficult. Sometimes it can take up to ten years from the time that you decide that you’re not going to take anyone else’s mistreatment of you any more to the time that you finally settle down with your one true love. Expect that either yourself or your new love interest is going to do “the runner” a number of times before you actually get to be together in a steady relationship. This is normal, so when you decide to research and read about the various growth and development stages of twin-flame relationships, don’t be so disappointed when it comes along.
Twin-Flames vs Narcissists
Make sure to compare the traits of a twin-flame relationship with that of a narcissistic partner as well though. You’ll need to be aware of the differences so that you don’t toss out the one who is meant to be your partner. If you know what a narcissist is, you’ll recognise when you are being thwarted from your path by the wrong choice.
Heal Thyself First
Part of your journey towards being with your twin-flame will be to do the healing work required so that you can bring your best self to the relationship. If you don’t heal from the damage done in trying to find your missing twin, you won’t be able to realise your dream. It’s very important that you set to work on your own process of healing too.
Protecting the Divine Feminine
When you finally love yourself and realise that you always have been Love (you didn’t have to go searching for it outside of you), you’ll protect yourself by not allowing yourself to be disrespected. Prior to being granted the blessing of meeting our twin-flame, we as women have to prove to our Celestial helpers and Observers that we are capable of protecting the Divine Feminine within us. Why? Because the Kingdom of Heaven is within.
While ever we are still allowing others to abuse us, they have access to the Kingdom of Heaven within us. That is why our Celestial helpers and Observers won’t allow us to cross paths with our twin-flame until we are strong enough to keep away anyone who seeks to destroy us. Those who desire to do this bring their demons to the gates of Heaven, which is not allowed. If you haven’t yet met your Twin-flame, this is why. There’s still work to be done on you.
The Dark Side of the Light
Have you ever taken notice of the Yin-yang symbol? In the white half of the symbol, there is a black dot. The black dot is comparable to our dark side. In a good woman, it is minimal, but it is there for her protection. So when protecting ourselves we’re encouraged to use our dark side against anyone who tries to abuse us but only in self-defense. We are first required to warn our antagonists not to disrespect us, and then we may do what is needed to protect ourselves. So in our journey of healing, we most often need to open our throat chakra from the blockages of the past.
Setting Boundaries
For example, there would have been times when we let men speak down to us or disrespect us or be dismissive of us. Yet had we loved ourselves and had self-respect, we would have spoken up and stood up to them. In our healing journey, we need to learn to speak up and say something at the time that it happens. In order to unblock the throat chakra, we must not let people walk all over us. This begins by voicing our boundaries. So we must learn to clearly say what we think to people, in an honest and direct manner. No anger, no fear.
If the one we are dealing with is decent, they will listen and respect our request. If he or she still doesn’t respect our request, we then walk away from the situation at that point. Or, we defend ourselves through communication. The most powerful impact can be had when we speak softly instead of raising our voice.
Exposing His Behaviour
Or, we might have to expose their actions to others for what they have done or are doing. Naming their behaviour often takes their power over us away. Especially when we tell them that we can see what they are doing and we describe it to them.
Blocking
Setting boundaries could end up meaning blocking them from our lives. In extreme cases, it could mean having to defend ourselves physically. If things get as far as this, you’ve well and truly let things go beyond repair. Way past it, and it’s time to get out.
It’s important to note that our dark side is not to be used to harm others. Instead, our dark side is to be used to protect ourselves. When you can embrace that side of you that has the capacity to be a warrior you’re almost there. If you know how to fight for the sake of your own protection you have almost become whole. When you’re able to discern the most appropriate method of self-protection, you are ready to meet your twin flame.

Here’s a site where you’ll find my writings.
The Bravehearts of Belgrave High is now published. I have completed the first in a series of novels that I wrote for teens. It is the courageous story of a young girl growing up in a home filled with domestic violence. She also has to endure a school and neighbourhood full of bullies. We read how she maneuvres her way through such a difficult situation. Plus, how she grows because of it, among other themes in the novel.
The desired outcome for young readers is that they will be inspired to treasure their unique differences. If they don’t fit in with the system or with those around them, then they should realise that it’s quite okay not to fit in.
My first novel was written to help raise funds for the private foundation that I established, which might later become a charity. Click here if you’d like to be taken to the site where you can purchase this novel. If you cannot see the site, use a browser other than Chrome.
