The Truth Shall Set You Free
The biggest thing that I am concerned about is when others suddenly discover the truth about our leaders and the system. When they discover that much of what they have been taught at school and throughout life is a lie, their world shatters. Only The Truth Shall Set You Free.
When people learn that the reasons given for going to war were lies, they sometimes aren’t able to cope. Especially those who have personally been affected by war, or when someone they know has been affected. Then when they discover that money really IS made out of thin air, it can be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for some. I have been through that process a long time ago and it is very uncomfortable. It can make you very angry to realise that you’ve been betrayed over and over again.
Constantly Lied To
We are surrounded by a bodyguard of lies. Not only about our state as citizens of a country, but also about our status. Humans are not free. Most important to realise is that our leaders lie to us constantly. They use the television and other media sources to lie to us. They use mind control to sculpt our views of the world. Repetition of the lie is a powerful method of mind control. Subliminal advertising is another.
Dirty Secrets
Yet the hardest pill to swallow is the familial and inter-generational lies, and accepting that those closest and dearest to us have lied to us. That really hurts us at a very deep level.
Most families hold dark secrets from each other, as do friends and associates. However, in the universe, things don’t work that way. In other parts of the universe, soul beings are equipped to deal with lies through the dependence on truth. If one cultivates a propensity for recognising truth then one can recognise lies instantly.
Lies Don’t Protect You
The problem here on earth is that humans have a propensity for accepting and rationalising lies as a protective mechanism as if lies will somehow protect them from truth, as if the truth will harm them.
The Consequences of Lying
It’s sad, because these same protective mechanisms that people employ were developed to protect lies. So when the truth unfolds before them they will seem to have no protection from the lies that they have told. They will have no protection from truth either, because of their habit of protecting lies. The liars will be the ones who suffer most, when their own darkness rises to turn back in on themselves.
The Solution
The only way out of this conundrum is to always embrace the truth, no matter how hard it is to digest.
What Jesus meant by the words, “The truth will set you free,” is that we are meant to be the bodyguards of truth. So as long as we guard the truth, the truth will set us free. We should not protect lies. We should protect the truth. That is our sharpest weapon.
