Strength Card Traits
As you may know from the previous articles, there are 22 cards in the Major arcana. The Major arcana illustrates the full path of The Fool. So as The Fool begins to feel very confident and powerful, he meets with the maiden and he is very surprised. First of all the maiden is the symbol of the card called Strength. This card is the eighth card of major arcana. So The Fool is surprised because this maiden was struggling with the lion, and the maiden won this struggle. This maiden was able to calm this wild lion and she gently and smoothly shut the lion’s mouth. This is really surprising, how this kind maiden could win the fight with the wild and strong lion. So the Strength card is a very interesting one.
This Strength card means that everyone can win in almost everything. You are unstoppable if you believe in yourself. The Strength card underlines that you don’t need only physical strength to win over your lazy will, but you have to be very powerful within. Strength means that everyone is filled with the energy which can be used for every task, but you should search for it within you. You have to find this energy and tame the Lion within, which will give you the strength to tame the Lions that you meet on the outside as well.
The Strength card simply means that there always will be the problems, and yet you will handle all of them. You are born powerful and unstoppable.
The maiden who is represented on the Strength card is unstoppable and she wins the fight with the wild lion. The Strength card means that you are unstoppable. The maiden is not as powerful as a man but she finds unstoppable power within herself. In fact, you are born very powerful and you can achieve everything if you believe in yourself.
This card is also associated with passion. If you have the passion to do something and you want it badly enough, you will achieve your goal no matter what is against you. This passion must be coming from deep inside. On this card, we can see that the maiden can control this powerful lion because she has special power within her. You too can do the same. You can destroy and win over every obstacle and have control of it. You have something special deep within you and you are being advised to find it and use it.
You see, fighting to win over problems and obstacles is not about having physical power, but rather, it is about having strong will power. First, you have to believe in yourself and the rest will follow. This card reminds us that if we want something we have to focus only on this and not on something we don’t have. We have to first believe in ourselves and after that, we have to chase after our dreams. You have to conquer your fears and then destroy them. You are more powerful than your fears and you can always overcome their power over you. But the Strength card reminds us that we have to keep our faith, and not to lose it.
Now let’s review the key symbols of this card. As has been stated earlier in this article, the main symbol of this card is the maiden, the girl who is dressed in white. This card symbolises the fact that we don’t need physical power to destroy our fears and achieve our goals. The maiden who is not very powerful could control lion because she used her own inner power. This maiden symbolises the fact that even the people who have no physical power can fight and win over any fears and obstacles in life.
The Lion on the Strength card symbolises the inner beast which is trying to create problems and put you in a weak position. For example, if you are addicted to alcohol then this is probably your weak side, and this beast is a symbol of how the temptation to drink is causing problems and obstacles in your life. So the Strength card says that no matter what, you can overcome all the temptations and fears thrown at you in order to beat the obstacles. You must realise that all fear is self-imposed. You are the creator of this beast and you can destroy it without any problems, if you believe in yourself and find the strength within you.
Also on the card, you can see the mountains in the background, which are the symbol of achievement and greatness. As we face our daily challenges and overcome them, then we can probably overcome many more obstacles and see our way through to achieving our wildest dreams. So foresee the fact that if you want to achieve something great then you probably have to win the struggle against your inner beast.
Another symbol of Strength is the wreath around the maiden’s head. Wreaths are linked with victory, which shows that that maiden is more powerful than her fears and now she is victorious.
Astrology and the tarot are tightly linked with each other. The Strength card is associated with the zodiac sign Leo. The zodiac sign Leo is associated with power and the achievement of something great. There are also other keywords that are linked with the Leo sign. Leo is firmly associated with leadership, creativity, powerfulness, and perseverance.
If the Strength card appears in your tarot reading, it simply means that you may have to face something difficult and be forced to find the power within to overcome it and achieve something great. The situation could happen in your career or in your social life. This card reminds you that you have the ability to face and win every situation that you fear, along with all of your bad habits. Firstly you have to believe in yourself and then find the greatness within you. All of your fears and obstacles are self-imposed and you can destroy them without any problems, so you have to trust that you have the inner power. Nothing is more powerful than your inner power. Therefore, find the greatness inside of you and go on to achieve something great.

Here’s a site where you’ll find my writings.
The Bravehearts of Belgrave High is now published. I have completed the first in a series of novels that I wrote for teens. It is the courageous story of a young girl growing up in a home filled with domestic violence. She also has to endure a school and neighbourhood full of bullies. We read how she maneuvres her way through such a difficult situation. Plus, how she grows because of it, among other themes in the novel.
The desired outcome for young readers is that they will be inspired to treasure their unique differences. If they don’t fit in with the system or with those around them, then they should realise that it’s quite okay not to fit in.
My first novel was written to help raise funds for the private foundation that I established, which might later become a charity. Click here if you’d like to be taken to the site where you can purchase this novel. If you cannot see the site, use a browser other than Chrome.
