What is Clairvoyance?
There are different words to describe the senses that allow spiritual mediums to communicate with the spirit world, the most well-known being ‘Clairvoyance’. Other less well-known words are ’Clairaudience’ and ‘Clairsentience’. So then, what is Clairvoyance? In a later article, I will discuss what the other words mean as well.
Clairvoyance is the ability to gather information about people or events through extra-sensory perception. The word Clairvoyance comes from the French, meaning ‘clear vision’. Those who practice it are named Clairvoyants, meaning ‘one who sees clearly’.
Clairvoyant readers have the ability to see anything that isn’t physically present, be it people, animals, or objects. The reader doesn’t see these images through their physical eyes, but rather through the mind’s eye. Some say that this is their natural state of vision. However, many professional Clairvoyants develop their skills through meditation. Those who have the ability naturally are quite rare, but when they do they are very accurate indeed.
True Clairvoyants see images to do with your past, present, and future. They simply close their eyes, and across the screen of their mind, a movie with images from your life begins to play. Some images will be literal, and other images will be symbolic. Usually, the reader can sense when the images are literal and when they are symbolic, but not always. Your reader may need feedback to clarify whether it is a literal or a symbolic image that they can see.
What Else Can a Clairvoyant See?
A Clairvoyant can often see their client’s aura. They can see the colour of their thought patterns and sometimes their past lives. Because our past lives affect us in this life, it is to our benefit to know how and why they do. This is so that we can deal with the effects of what happened to us in those lives.
For example, we might manifest a constant pain in the neck at the age of twenty-three. Then a Clairvoyant tells us that at this age in a past life we were beaten to death by our husband. We discover that he broke our neck when he bashed us as we cowered in the corner. Once we can acknowledge this and realise that we no longer need to bring the past life into this life, the pain will go and we can go about our life as usual.
A Clairvoyant can read a person’s energy field like reading a book, except that the language from the invisible world doesn’t occur in words and sound. It occurs in shape and colour. A Clairvoyant’s life is usually enhanced by being able to see the beautiful colours and shapes around all living things. This is due to the fact that everything has an energy vibration. Plants, flowers, and trees also have auras just like people.
When you have a reading on the telephone or online, the reader will connect with you and then will relay the images they see, sounds they hear, or emotions that they experience back to you. The reader will then discuss with you the meanings of what they have sensed and how it relates to your and your life.

It is the courageous story of a young girl growing up in a home filled with domestic violence. She also has to endure a school and neighbourhood full of bullies. We read how she maneuvres her way through such a difficult situation. Plus, how she grows because of it, among other themes in the novel.
The desired outcome for young readers is that they will be inspired to treasure their unique differences. If they don’t fit in with the system or with those around them, then they should realise that it’s quite okay not to fit in.
