In the Tarot and The Kabbalah, the term ‘Arcana’ is plural. The singular aspect of this term is ‘Arcanum.’ ‘Arcanum’ refers to a type of knowledge, which is for the initiated, or a kind of knowledge that is mysterious for the average person. It is a science or understanding that one has to be introduced to. When we study the twenty-two Arcana, we are studying twenty-two laws, or twenty-two mysteries, that we have to be initiated into experientially in order to understand them.

I have had this natural Clairvoyant gift since I was a child (as far back as I can remember) but I couldn’t cope with the energy of it then. I picked up on all the emotions and darkness in others, and it loaded me with confusion and chaos as I did not know what was mine and what wasn’t. Plus, a well-meaning but very misinformed Christian told me that what I was seeing and hearing was from the devil and to put it away. Trusting her words caused a lot of trouble for me for quite a few years after. Later though, in my early 30s after other events unfolded, I learned that I could assist myself and other people by restoring this natural ability that I have. (more…)
