Armanism: The Esoteric Meanings of the Runes

What are the Esoteric Meanings of the Runes? They go a long way back to beyond Nordic times. All the runic alphabets and languages of the Aryan-Nordic races come from the runic alphabet, the Birds’ Language of the Hyperborean White Atlanteans.

According to Carl G. Jung, there is no separation or division between the instincts manifested by the senses and the archetypes structured in the consciousness. Both functions, the instincts and the archetypes are substrates of the libido, the essential bases of complexion and formation of the unconscious. We, therefore, find a direct correspondence between the study of Jung’s individuation and the Gnosis of the Hyperborean Wisdom. Consciousness not only generates images of reality but also captures the unconscious, the universal noological meanings of the archetypes. The Uncreated Runes, founded on The Bird’s Language, are the Sacred Symbols of the Nordic Races, whose ontological interpretation reveals Anamnesis, the understanding of the Eternal Truths.

Hyperborean Vision

The Aryan Race, through the Blood’s memory, can capture the Divine through the runic symbols deposited in the racial Collective Unconscious, allowing him to understand the noological semiotics of the Runes, instead of a ordinary semantic interpretation. Still, the Runic Wisdom can only be effective if a “hyperborean vision” is awakened. The first step in this process consists of the initiation, achieved after a great effort of spiritual purification. When the “Blood’s memory” finally puts the individual in conditions of mutation, he can receive the “minne”, the nostalgic Memory of the Origin, entering into metaphysical “contact” with the transcendental experience. In ancient ages, this process involved inducing altered states of consciousness in the Virya to make him experience a mystical ecstasy, thus obtaining a much deeper sense of the individuation (selbst) and the Vril.

Hyperborean Wisdom

In the book Fundamentals of the Hyperborean Wisdom, several mystical paths are described for the realisation of the Selbst (absolute self); the “path of mutation” or “of lightning”; the “dry path” or “right-hand path”; the “wet path” or “left hand path”; a “path of strategic opposition” or “path of warrior gnosis for absolute orientation”; etc. In essence, two routes of initiation stand out: the Apollonian path (Aesir) and the Dionysian path (Vanir).

The Apollonian path or ‘dry path’ is a path that consists in the purification of the spirit, making the awakened higher self enter voluntarily through the Selbst and transmute its “absolute nature” inside the “spirit-sphere”. On the other hand, the Dionysian path or ‘wet path’ consists in the revelation of the mystery of a-Mort (coitus reservatus), the supreme perfection of sexual union. When the Virya constitutes a “charismatic link” with the Origin, “transforming blood into fire”, he rises from the merely human level to the superhuman or divine. In other words, he reveals the berserker rage, the sonnenmensch, the übermensch, the absolute individual. His morality now lies in honour, beyond spirit and matter, life and death, good and evil.

Blood Memory

As long as the Blood’s memory is not awakened, “the door” will remain closed. The uncreated runes can be interpreted as esoteric keys that, according to their axiological context, generate the ethical qualities of the Hyperborean Spirit; courage, fearlessness, honour and loyalty. Therefore, whatever the syntax of each Runic meaning, it will be recognised by the Virya that affirms it or by more Viryas that coincide in non-causal Synchronicity, since the Futhark is not bound to the causal chains of matter; it belongs to what is eternal and uncreated. The thirteen plus three Uncreated Runes of the Hyperborean Wisdom correspond to the 16 Combinations of Carl Jung’s Psychological Types. The Four Scales, the Eight Polarities: Extroversion-Introversion; Sensation-Intuition; Thought-Feeling and Judgment-Perception.

The Connection to the Nordics

All the runic alphabets and languages of the Aryan-Nordic races come from the Birds’ Language of the Hyperborean White Atlanteans. The Runes are sacred symbols semantically impossible to describe; their semiotic is noological, every symbol contains a metaphysical truth that awakens Anamnesis, the understanding of the eternal truths. In each runic Entasis, the initiate incorporates in his blood a heroic Mystique, which allows him to transcend the self, to feel the spirit or Vril in his blood (Eitr). In this sense, the uncreated runes represent the victory of spirit over matter, the eternal over the perishable.

Odin’s Hanging

The knowledge of the runes was obtained by Odin (Wotan) hanging himself for nine days in the cosmic tree of terror (Yggdrasil) and wounding himself with a spear in the side.

According to the well-known Ariosophist Guido von List, the runes are a magical language in which each symbol has an esoteric power linked to a God or absolute principle (Asatru). The initiated in the noological semantics of the Hyperborean Gnosis, understands perfectly that the thirteen plus three Uncreated Runes act protecting and strengthening the Virya. They are sacred and protective magical forces.

From the Origin Symbol to the Swastika

Only the initiated have access to the mysterious bird’s language, accessible through secret keys. From the Origin symbol comes the Sign of the Origin, the swastika (How many volumes have been written wrongly defining its Gnostic truth). The swastika, in its oblique inclination (right-handed), affirms the gnostic reversal, the liberation from time, the return to the past, to the origin; Hyperborea. From the Origin Symbol arise 3 uncreated runes: the SIG rune; the secret of the Bird’s Language (the Hyperborean mystique); the rune HAGAL, the mystery of the Carved Stone (lithic science); and the rune TYR, the art of forging Weapons of War (the art of war).

From Swastika to Double Rune Sig

The Swastika unfolds into the double Rune Sig, and from the double intersection of Sig, the Odal Rune is formed. From the double intersection of Tyr, the Rune Hagal is formed, from which the thirteen archetypal runes are derived. The Hagal rune symbolises the noological bridge between the created (ascending Tyr) and the uncreated (descending Tyr). Therefore, allows the Virya to understand the mystery of his chaining and liberation. Hagal recalls the Graal’s presence, the fallen stone of Venus.

The 3 Uncreated Runes

With the 3 uncreated runes, are built the Odal Archemone, Tyrodal and the sacred Tirodinguiburr. Tirodinguiburr represents the outer and inner labyrinth (the reality of illusion), the Gnostic path that affirms the noological will in the self. The Gibbor rune (Njord/Neptune’s trident), defensive and conductive, opens a rift, making it possible for the Virya to enter the outer labyrinth, and access the limiting and protective Odal rune (Freya/Athena’s shield), a timeless space.

Thor’s Hammer

In this walled interior space, the Virya will be able to isolate from the conscious subject. This situation allows him to reorient himself towards the rune Tyr (Wotan’s Spear/Thor’s Hammer), conducive and aggressive, in direction to Valhalla, the divine origin. When the Virya discovers the origin (the hidden Hagal Rune in Tyr-odal), he has realised the unification of his infinite (spirit) with the Selbst (eternal truth of himself).

The warlords of the Hyperborean Nordic races were authentic warriors. Their initiation in the Runic Symbols gave them terrible powers (berserker) that made them feel invincible and freed them from the fear of death. Their presence instilled in their enemies a terrifying panic.
