As you may know from the previous articles, there are 22 cards in the Major arcana. The Major arcana illustrates the full path of The Fool. So as The Fool begins to feel very confident and powerful, he meets with the maiden and he is very surprised. First of all the maiden is the symbol of the card called Strength. This card is the eighth card of major arcana. So The Fool is surprised because this maiden was struggling with the lion, and the maiden won this struggle. This maiden was able to calm this wild lion and she gently and smoothly shut the lion’s mouth. This is really surprising, how this kind maiden could win the fight with the wild and strong lion.
